The Motto of the day (MOTTO) is an old idea currently undergoing a revival initiative. The idea is pretty simple: to have a daily unofficial Wikipedia motto included on the Community Portal. It is an effort to laugh a bit at ourselves, celebrate our achievements, and foster sense of community.

• How to use: Just place on your user page!
• Overseer: Renata3 and anyone else interested!
• Designated place: a banner on Community Portal (under discussions) and any other space (e.g. user pages)
• New nominations: welcome! Put you suggestions on /New proposals for review and consideration.
