White Croats migrated to modern Dalmatia (the coastal part of Croatia) as part of the migration of the Croats and Serbs in 610-641 A.D. The Croats' original home was somewhere north of the Pripet Marshes, where they lived with other Slavic tribes. This region, which now comprises parts of Ukraine and the Poland, has occasionally been referred to as White Croatia (*).
