Weber River, c.200 km long, rises in the Uinta mountains, North central Utah, and flows north and northwest to join the Ogden River at Ogden. The combined stream flows to the Great Salt Lake. The Weber has long been used for irrigation and is part of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Weber basin project. Among the dams on the Weber are Wanship Dam (completed 1957) and Echo Dam (completed 1931).
