Warkany syndrome 2, also known as trisomy 8, is a chromosomal disease that has severe effects on the unborn child, as complete trisomy 8 is a frequent cause of early abortion.

Live-born infants have "trisomy 8 mosaicism", resulting in retarded psychomotor development (moderate mental, and occasional growth retardation) an expressionless face and many musculoskeletal, visceral, eye, as well as other abnormalities or anomalies.
