Wang Liqin (born in June 18, 1978, Jiangsu, China) is Chinese table tennis player and is a world champion and the world's highest ranked player.

He began playing at the age of 6 and was picked for the Chinese men's national squad in 1993 when he was only 15 years old.

Liqin won the gold medal in doubles at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and the bronze medal in singles at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens, Greece. For most of 2005, he ranked as the world's best table tennis player. He stands 6'2" tall.

He won the World Championship held in Shanghai, China in 2005. He also won the World Championship held in Osaka, Japan in 2001. As of the June, 2006, rankings by the ITTF, he is the world's highest-ranked player.
