Vleuten () is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Utrecht, and lies about 6 km west of Utrecht. Vleuten has a railway station on the line between Utrecht and Woerden.

In 2001, the town of Vleuten had 7434 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.4 km2, and contained 2979 residences.Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Bevolkingskernen in Nederland 2001. History


The village used to be a separate municipality, first called Vleuten, and renamed in 1954 to Vleuten-De Meern. In 2001, the municipality merged with the municipality of Utrecht.
