Victor Salva (born March 29, 1958 in California) is an American film director, mostly of horror movies. His body of work includes the films Powder and Jeepers Creepers.

His directing career has been overshadowed by his 1988 conviction for having mutual oral sex with a 12-year-old boy, Nathan Forest Winters, who had acted in his low-budget slasher movie Clownhouse. The sexual acts were videotaped by Salva, forcing a guilty plea. In 1995, the boy brought attention to Salva's past by publicly boycotting his film Powder, which was a moderate success despite the unwanted publicity. Salva did not make another studio film for until 2001, when he emerged from pariah status in Hollywood with the hit horror film Jeepers Creepers and its 2003 sequel.

Salva's early work attracted the attention of Francis Ford Coppola, who produced Clownhouse, Powder, Jeepers Creepers, and Jeepers Creepers 2.
