Vancouver Centre is a federal
electoral district in
British Columbia,
Canada, that has been represented in the
Canadian House of Commons since 1917. For the historical provincial electoral district of the same name, please see
Vancouver Centre (electoral district).
Geography
The district includes the neighbourhoods of
Fairview,
Yaletown,
Coal Harbour, the
Vancouver Business District, and the
West End, the western extreme part of
Strathcona, the easternmost part of
Kitsilano, and all of
Stanley Park in the City of
Vancouver.
History
The electoral district was created in 1914 from
Vancouver City and
Vancouver East ridings.
