• Victorian Football League, an Australian rules football league formerly known as the Victorian Football Association prior to 1996.

• Australian Football League, the elite level of Australian rules football in Australia that changed its name from the Victorian Football League, which it was known as between 1897 and 1989.

• Verein für Leistungssport (engl. association for competitive sports), a set of German sports organisations including VfL Bochum, VfL Wolfsburg and VfL Gummersbach.
