The University of Houston System at Cinco Ranch was founded in 2001 as a higher education "teaching center" of the University of Houston System located in Cinco Ranch, a community in unincorporated Fort Bend County, Texas, near the city of Katy.

About


The UH system at Cinco Ranch campus is designed to allow students who live in or near Katy, Texas to take upper-division and graduate-level college courses from on the of constituent institutions of the University of Houston System. At the center, one can earn their bachelor's or master's degree in a variety of areas including history, English, or various fields of science or business. Additionally, those students who are unsure of their undergraduate academic major or who wish to have a hand in designing their own can elect to earn a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown.

The center has also forged a relationship with Houston Community College-Northwest to allow students to seamlessly transfer their credits and continue their education.
