Unipotent cell, in cell biology, is used to describe a cell (e.g. a stem cell) which has the capacity to develop/differentiate into only one type of tissue/cell type. The most common of these in humans are skin cells. This cell has a unique property: self-renewal. This property distinguishes it from non-stem cells.
