Trojan, known as Tatakai no Banka(闘いの挽歌) or "Requiem for War" in Japan, is a 2D, side scrolling video game similar to Tiger Road, or Kung Fu. It was developed by Capcom and released in the United States in 1986 by Romstar.

The story describes a post-apocalyptic world in the near future, devastated by war and the black magic of evil sects. The spirits of warlords from past ages have been brought back to earth, destroying civilization with disease and insanity. The bodies of the strongest survivors, the "chosen", are taken over to rule the small, peaceful tribes with an iron fist (Similar to Mad Max, Fist of the North Star, or Cyborg). The supreme leader of this new order is known as Achiles.

You play a young man resistant to the evil spirits, trained in martial arts, who has taken the name Trojan.

Your mission is to infiltrate the lands of the evil army, fighting against pirates and gladiators and exorcising these human-demons in a gothic/industrial wasteworld.

There were two versions of this game, an arcade version and an 8-bit version for the Nintendo Entertainment System which also included a two player versus mode. The arcade version supported two players, but only by way of alternating gameplay.

The game controls used A & B buttons for sword & shield/punch & kick, and an 8-way joystick for walking, crouching, and wielding the shield towards the front, front-top, and top. 1986 arcade games | 1986 computer and video games | Arcade games | NES games | Capcom games | PlayChoice-10 games | Nintendo Vs.
