F. Trammell Crow (born June 11, 1914, in Dallas, Texas) is an American property developer.
Crow grew up in Dallas. After completing high school, he worked for a Dallas bank and attended night school in accounting at Southern Methodist University. He then worked for three years as a CPA before joining the Navy in 1940. After World War II, he worked as a wholesale grain merchandiser, but saw more opportunities in warehouse real estate development, and entered the field. Within a few years, Trammell Crow Company was the largest real estate developer in Dallas, and was beginning to expand into Atlanta, Denver, and other major cities.
Robert Sobel published Crow's biography, 'Trammell Crow, Master Builder: The Story of Americas Largest Real Estate Empire' in 1989. This "as told to" book is the definitive source of information as to Crow's life by one of America's leading business historians.
