Touchstone Television is an American television production company and is the television production arm of movie studio Touchstone Pictures. Established in 1985, Touchstone Television absorbed ABC Circle Films and its post-1973 library in 1996, when its parent company, The Walt Disney Company purchased ABC. It mainly produces TV shows for the Disney Channel, ABC and all other ABC channels (although it has produced and does produce shows on rivals NBC and CBS). It is a spin-off company from Touchstone Pictures, the first Disney-owned company not to carry the Walt Disney name.
