Anthony "Tony" Lamar Banks (born April 5, 1973 in San Diego) is a quarterback American football player. Banks lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Hoover High School. He played right field for the Minnesota Twins Class A team in Ft. Myers, Fla., before enrolling at Mesa Community College in San Diego. He played there two years before transferring to Michigan State University.

Banks was the second-string quarterback for the Houston Texans behind David Carr, and was since the franchise started play in 2002. He has previously played for the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens, and St. Louis Rams.

On February 28, 2006, Banks was released by the Houston Texans, along with Marcus Coleman and Tony Hollings.

  • Tony Banks' etopps card is the highest priced card in the history of the etopps program, due in large part to its limited print run of only 186 copies.
