  • Tipton Hotels are located in Boston, Paris, New York, Siberia,Tokyo,and Bombay, and plans are currently underway to build hotels in Atlanta, Orlando (as part of Walt Disney World Resort), Berlin, and Hong Kong (for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort)
  • Mr. Tipton briefly lost his fortune when he invested in a diamond mine and nothing of value was found. The fortune was regained when oil was discovered in the mine.
  • The longtime manager of the Tipton Hotel in Boston is Marion Moseby who frequently communicates with the unseen Wilfred Tipton.
  • Mr. Moseby lost the position of manager to the ambitious hotel inspector Ilsa Schickelgubermeier when she saw how problematic the hotel was. Mr. Moseby was told of the problems that arised during Ilsa's reign of terror while the hotel review board was at the Tipton. Mr. Moseby's ability to take care of guest problems earned him his job back, and Ilsa later acquired the position of manager at the rival St. Mark's Hotel across the street.
  • The Tipton adds a clothing store managed by London called: "London' Fabulous Fashion Boutique"

  • The St. Mark Hotel, currently managed by Ilsa Schickelgubermeier, is the Tipton's major rival and is located across the street. The heirs to each family's fortune - London Tipton and Todd St. Mark - have fallen in love, but are forbidden from seeing each other. Todd is currently in dental school in Zürich.
  • Treasure was rumored to be hidden somewhere in the hotel left by mobster Alphonse "Hot Peppers" DeLeo.
  • Suite 613 is rumored to be haunted by a ghost named Irene.
  • The Boston branch is located next door to the Bank of Boston.
