Tippett Studio is an Academy Award winning visual effects company specializing in computer-generated imagery (CGI) for movies and television commercials. Founded in 1984 by animation pioneer Phil Tippett, they now employ over 200 talented artists and technicians in Berkeley, California.

Phil, Jules Roman and Craig Hayes are the guiding forces behind Tippett Studio. As artists and filmmakers themselves, their philosophy is to foster a non-corporate, hands-on, filmmaker-friendly environment, driven by their passion for picture making and inspired by such diverse disciplines as choreography and pantomime, painting and sculpture - finding inspiration in the works of the past but always reaching for the future.
