The Three peaks yacht race occurs each year in June in the United Kingdom.

Teams of 5, 3 sailors and 2 runners, set out in yachts from Barmouth on the West Wales coast and sail to Caernarvon in the Menai Straits. Here the runners leave the boat and run to the top of Snowdon and back. The yacht then proceeds to Whitehaven on the coast of north-east England. Here the runners ride bicycles to the foot of Scafell Pike before running to the top and back. Next the yacht sails to Fort William in Scotland where the runners have to get to the top of Ben Nevis and finally back to the yacht.

The first team to complete the race wins the trophy. Achieving a good enough start to gain the help of the Menai Straits tidal current after the Snowdon run can save several hours.

In 2005, 10 teams completed the race in between 3 days 18 hours and 5 days 7 hours.
