The Swan was a 2004 U.S. reality television program broadcast on the Fox network in which average-looking women were given "extreme makeovers" that included several forms of plastic surgery. At the end of the season, a beauty pageant was held with the surgically-enhanced women. The title of the series refers to the story of The Ugly Duckling that becomes a swan. A second season of the series was broadcast in late 2004 but the show was cancelled in early 2005.
