The Scene was a mod band from Bradford, Yorkshire. Formed in 1978 by Dave Green (guitar), Ian James (bass), George Mazur (drums), Phill Harding (guitar & keyboards) and Ian Harding (guitar & vocals).
The Scene originally formed in 1978 in Bradford, West Yorkshire. They played all over the north of England for the next two years, often supporting The Killermeters, building up a strong following.
The Scene released just one record. A 7 inch vinyl with "Hey Girl" on one side and "Reach The Top" on the other, on their own 'Hole in the Wall' record label.
The Scene played a mixture of Soul, R&B and 60's Rock & Roll, with the fast thrashing energy of Punk. Although they started out playing covers they very soon played mainly original material.
George Mazur went on to play with The Godfathers. Phill Harding is now a composer and Sonic Artist.
