The Roaring Twenties is a 1939 crime thriller starring James Cagney, Priscilla Lane & Humphrey Bogart. The movie was directed by Raoul Walsh, who also directed The Big Trail, They Died with Their Boots On and High Sierra.

Plot


After the World War I Armistice, Lloyd Hart (Jeffrey Lynn) goes back to practice law, former saloon keeper George Hally (Bogart) turns to bootlegging, and out-of-work Eddie Bartlett (Cagney) becomes a cab driver. Eddie builds a fleet of cabs through delivery of bootleg liquor and hires Lloyd as his lawyer. George becomes Eddie's partner and the rackets flourish until love and rivalry interfere.
