Critical Responses

Responses

The Cable Guy had a darker tone than most of Carrey's previous work (for example, he played the bad guy in a major film) and was not as commercially successful as his other films. Contrary to popular belief, this film did make a profit at the box office.

Revenues

The movie earned $19,806,226 during its opening weekend, and over the course of time, grossed approximately $100,700,000 worldwide.
