Thallium oxide or Tl₂O is one of the oxides of thallium. TlO₂, Tl₄O₃ and Tl₂O₃ are some others. Tl₂O is black and produces a basic solution when dissolved in water. It is formed by heating TlOH or Tl₂CO₃ in the absence of air. In Tl₂O thallium is in the +1 oxidation state.
