Thallium oxide or Tl2O is one of the oxides of thallium. TlO2, Tl4O3 and Tl2O3 are some others. Tl2O is black and produces a basic solution when dissolved in water. It is formed by heating TlOH or Tl2CO3 in the absence of air. In Tl2O thallium is in the +1 oxidation state.
