Terry (also towelling in British and toweling in American English and froté or frotté in many other languages) is a fabric with loops that can absorb a lot of water. It can be manufactured by weaving or knitting. Items that may be made from terrycloth include towels, bedlinen, and sweatbands for the wrist or head.
