Terminator 2: Judgment Day are the names of two arcade games released by WMS Industries (the owners of the Williams and Midway brands) in 1991. They were based on the Judgment Day.

Video Game

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is an arcade light gun game produced by Midway in 1991.

Pinball

Williams released a pinball game, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, designed by famed pinball designer Steve Ritchie.

T2 was known as one of the first pinball games to feature a dot matrix display. It was also the first game to feature an autoplunger (replacing the traditional plunger), as well as a ball-firing cannon. Finally, T2 was the first game to feature a video mode.

The playfield design was based on Ritchie's 1980 classic, Firepower.

Trivia

  • The first mission is actually a backstory on what happened before the T-800 and the T-1000 entered Skynet. It also showed some of Skynet's machines that didn't appear in the film (for example, the Silverfish).
  • In the demo sequence, the game has been rated "R" (for Righteousness) by the Motion Picture Gaming Association of America.
  • In the original co-op version of the game, if you press the Player-1 or Player-2 'Start' buttons without any credits being available, a sample of Arnold Schwarzenegger will say "No way, Jose!"
