Teispes (675-640 BC) was the son of Achaemenes and a King of Persia. His name was given in Greek as Τεΐσπης. Teispes captured the Elamite city of Anšan and called himself "King of the City of Anšan", a first step that would lead to the rise of the Persian Empire.
