The Italian Super Cup or the SuperCoppa Italiana is a pre-season football (soccer) competition held the week before the season begins in Italy every year, in August. It is contested by the winners of the Italian Serie A and the Italian Cup the previous season, as a curtain raiser to the new season. Currenty AC Milan holds the record for winning the cup the most times, winning it 5 times since the competition began in 1988.
