Super Imaginative Chogokin (S.I.C.) is a popular toy line featuring figures based on characters created by Ishinomori Shotaro.

History

The S.I.C line debuted in Decemeber of 1998. The first figure release was Volume 01: Kikaider. Popularity grew for S.I.C since it is beautifully designed, intricately scuplted and had an impressive paint job. S.I.C. pays homage to the late Ishinomori Shotaro. The designers of S.I.C. tries their best to reinterpret the original artwork of Ishinomori with a sense of comic style and flare, which is also why it became so popular. The first ten volumes were only statuettes which were mounted on a stand but when Volume 11: Side Machine and Kikaider was released it changed it all. This was the very first bike set, and because it was a bike set, the figure was given very articulate joints so it can be riding on the bike, and from then on S.I.C would be well known for its incredible articualtion.

Other S.I.C.'s

During the next couple of years S.I.C became so popular that it had itself divided into many other lines. The first line was known as S.I.C Takumi-Damashii which began in September 8 2003. These were similar to the classic S.I.C's which features Ishinomori's work but they are a lot smaller than the original S.I.C and like the first ten volumes they are stautettes. Another line called Movie Realization debuted in August 2004. Most recently S.I.C started another line known as the Dunbine line which was released late September of 2005.

Types

There are different type of sets for each S.I.C. each being different from one another but generally there are four different sets.

Single Pack

A single set (3,675) only includes one figure. But usually it will include a lot of extra items, such as weapons and alternate forms (colour which is around average 2-3 or physical (eg Vol 28: Wolf Orphenoch) or sometimes alternate characters (Vol. 16, Vol. 17) to compensate the lack of another figure.

Double Pack

Double pack (4,725) includes two figure which are from the same series. The first double pack is Volume 15: Nigo and Shocker Rider. After that volume, double packs are released more often than single packs. Probably because there are more riders in the New Generation Kamen Rider Series (2000-Present) than the Old Generation. Double packs usually features two supporting Riders and their main weapons. Rarely would there be an extra form for one of the two riders. There has only been two volumes that featured an extra form for a double pack(Vol.20, Vol.24).

Bike Set

Bike Set (6,825) are the most expensive type of set for S.I.C mainly due to the bike and its size. Bike set like Single packs have one figure and a couple of accessories. Instead of extra forms there is a bike. There has been only 5 Bike sets (Vol.11, 12, 14, 21, 29) Volume 29 being the most innovative bike set with Autovajin which has the ability to transform into a 12" robot. Which stands as the largest and tallest S.I.C. figure.

Triple Pack

The first Triple Pack is set to release in Decemeber 2005 as Volume 30: Akumaizer-3. It should closly resemble double pack but with one extra figure.

Limited Editions The Limited/Special editons are usually repaints of the original figure released in the original SIC volume line. Since most Kamen Rider have forms the Limited Edition were designed to include the forms since most of which are just colour forms.

S.I.C Takumi Damashii

S.I.C Takumi Damashii (TD) are similar to its parent model S.I.C, they both take works created by Ishinomori Shotaro but TD are different because they are a lot smaller and they statuettes which is scuplted in a pose already. Just like S.I.C after a bike set for TD allowed the figures to have a different poses.
