Suffer is a punk album by Bad Religion, released in 1987 The official Bad Religion website lists the release date as November 1, 1987, but the liner notes of the album claims it was recorded in April, 1988. (see 1987 in music). It was their first album featuring the original line-up since their previous break-up. Suffer is considered by many to be one of the best punk albums of the 1980s. It was named the best punk album of 1987 by many publications. A plethora of third-wave punk bands cite this album as a major inspiration. In a fan poll, "Do What You Want" was cited as one of the best Bad Religion songs of all time, along with "American Jesus" and "Along The Way." Rancid's Tim Armstrong has said that "What Can You Do?", the album's only slow song, is his favorite Bad Religion track.
