Stunt Car Racer (also distributed under the title Stunt Track Racer) is a racing video game developed by Geoff Crammond for MicroStyle and was published by in 1989 computer and video games.In the US it was published by MicroPlay.

The game differs from other racing games in that the races take place on an elevated race track, with nothing to stop the player from accidentally driving off the side. If this occurs then the player's vehicle is hoisted back onto the track (by a nearby crane) which costs valuable time. The game got positive reviews when it was published. roller coaster-resembling 3D-tracks of the game was something new for players. Stunt Car Racer is often described as especially fun racing game due to its special kind of track design.

Damage is incurred by falling off the track and running into opponents. If the damage reaches a certain level then the vehicle is deemed to be destroyed and the race is over.

The single-player game consists of a league table of drivers of which the player is one. The object is to reach the top of the league by the end of the season; if this occurs then the player is promoted to the next league and so on. Each league has three competitors and two tracks. Lower divisions have easier tracks while higher divisions have more dangerous tracks.

The player can compete against computer opponents or (at least on the Amiga version) with another player connected via a null modem.

Amiga and Atari ST versions of the game feature the most advanced graphics (in 1989 PC computers were still using low-resolution EGA graphic modes). The game has often reached top-20 in "the best Amiga/Atari ST game" votings.

• The ZX Spectrum port of Stunt Car Racer was programmed by Pete Cooke, already well-known for his many 3D games on that platform.
• The Commodore 64 version of the game was included alongside Rick Dangerous and Microprose Soccer in the PowerPlay Multicart, the pack in cartridge for the Official Powerplay gaming package for the Commodore 64 including a gamepad similar in design to the one used on the NES minus start and select buttons.
