Additionally, stop can refer to:
- Organ stop, one or more ranks of pipes used together to make a particular sound on a pipe organ; also the control used to select them

- Aperture, a structure that limits the diameter of a light path in an optical system
- Stop squark, the supersymmetric partner of the top quark, in particle physics
- Full stop, a punctuation mark known in the U.S. as a "period" and shorten to stop in telegraph messages
- The point on an animal's head at which the muzzle meets the forehead
