Steve and Connirae Andreas are developers, teachers, and writers in the field of Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Since 1977, they have edited and written a number of popular books and articles on the subject. Steve and Connirae, who live in Boulder, Colorado, are best known in the field for their annotated transcripts of a variety of NLP seminars.

Steve Andreas (formerly John O. Stevens) worked as a Chemist until 1962, when he switched to psychology, specializing in gestalt therapy from around 1968. He was involved in Gestalt therapy for around ten years before hearing of neuro-linguistic programming in 1977 and changing interests. [http://www.steveandreas.com/cv.html

In 1979 they established NLP Colorado, (now known as NLP Comprehensive) to develop the training arm of their business, which was later transferred to Tom Dotz in 1998. * They continue to own Real People Press, a small publishers of psychology and personal change.
