Stephanie Miller (born September 29 1961) is the host of The Stephanie Miller Show which is produced in Los Angeles. As of November 28, 2005 her show is produced by WYD Media Management. Prior to that, the show was co-produced by Democracy Radio and WYD Media Management. The show is distributed by the Jones Radio Network, and has been airing weekday mornings 9am to 12pm Eastern Time since its debut in September 2004.

She grew up in Lockport, New York (30 miles northeast of Buffalo, New York), and after completing her secondary education in private Catholic schools, she went to college at the University of Southern California. She returned to New York, and in 1985 she began her broadcasting career in Rochester, New York on WCMF-FM as "Sister Sleaze" on the "Brother Wease Show."

Previously, Stephanie hosted shows on Los Angeles radio stations KFI and KABC. She was the liberal co-host on the CNBC television show Equal Time (opposite Bay Buchanan), and was the host of the show I've Got a Secret on the Oxygen Network.

In 1997 she appeared in the comedy film Just Write and in 2003 she played a TV interviewer in the flight attendant comedy A View From the Top. In the early 1980's she appeared in an episode of the television soap opera General Hospital.

Miller is the daughter of Former United States Representative William E. Miller, who ran as Barry Goldwater's running mate in the U.S. presidential election, 1964. She has never been married.

Crime victim


In mid May 2006, Miller shared with the listeners of her radio show that she was once a victim of identity theft, and it was a huge task to repair the damage. She announced it in the context of the revelation that personal information for millions of veterans has been compromised by the theft of a portable computer from the home of a Veterans Administration employee. Miller expressed sympathy with the veterans who may potentially have to go through the same process she went through.
