The Star Island Corporation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 membership organization, incorporated for educational and religious purposes under the laws of the state of Massachusetts in the United States. Its principal functions are to own and operate the Star Island conference center and to preserve the Isles of Shoals for future generations. It is affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ.

There are approximately 300 members of the Star Island Corporation, who annually elect a Board of Directors which, in turn, hires the Executive Director and other staff necessary to manage the islands.
