Stéphane Chapuisat ( Nickname: Chappi; born June 28, 1969 in Lausanne, Switzerland) is a football forward, arguably his country's best player of the 1990s. Chapuisat scored 21 goals in 103 caps for Switzerland and played in the 1994 World Cup, Euro 1996 and Euro 2004..
He is currently playing for Lausanne Sports in the Challenge League. Chapuisat started his major professional career in the Bundesliga in 1992 playing for Borussia Dortmund. He stayed there until 1999 when he transferred to Grasshoppers Zurich playing there for two years.In 2001 he moved to another Swiss Super League club BSC Young Boys, before moving to his home-town club Lausanne. At club level, Chapuisat won the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund in 1997. He was voted Swiss Footballer of the Year four times, in 1992,1993, 1994 and 2001. He scored 106 goals in 226 games in the German Fußball-Bundesliga.
