"Some Kind Of Bliss" was the first single released from singer Kylie Minogue's 1997 album Impossible Princess. The single was released on September 8, 1997 in Europe and on September 19, 1997 in Australia.

The song was heavily guitar influenced and carried with it an indie feeling. It was co-written with James Dean Bradfield and Sean Moore of the Manic Street Preachers. The song was unlike most of the tracks on the album which were more dance based.

Although the single only reached #22 in the UK and #27 in Australia, making it one of her least successful singles, it nonetheless is highly regarded by such critics as James Masterton and the All Music Guide.

B-side

Unlike previous Minogue single releases "Some Kind of Bliss" did not feature an unreleased song as its b-side. Instead "Limbo", a track from the album, was included. Later on the United Kingdom limited edition 7" release "Love Takes Over Me" was released as a b-side. The track was originally intended for inclusion on the album but in the end did not make the final cut.

Official versions

Only one official remix was released of the song for its single release.

  1. Australian Album Version
  2. United Kingdom Album Version
  3. Edit/Radio Edit
  4. Quivver Mix

The Australian album version of the song does not fade out at the end.
