Socialist Alternative is the name used by affiliates of the Committee for a Workers International in several countries. In Canada and the United States, the groups originated as Labour Militant in 1986 and publish the newspaper Justice while the New Zealand group was founded in 2003. The Socialist Party of England and Wales has also used the name Socialist Alternative to contest elections.
