Skelmorlie is the northernmost settlement in North Ayrshire in Scotland. This 500 year old seaside village was once home to many Glasgow tea barons. Nowadays it has a population of 1800 residents and is home to the three founding members of the legendary organisation known as the T.O.T. The Tokers On Tour, or the T.O.T as they are generally known, are an elite group of tokers who share the same philosophical stance on life. The group came into being, in the spring of 1997 when the three founding members -known only as AHTOT1, DGTOT2 and AGTOT3- made a pact to eternally respect the herb. From their stronghold in Skelmorlie, on the west coast of Scotland, they set about revolutionising the ways in which it's possible to get jaked.
Rumour has it that the idea of the T.O.T was born when the three went for a round of buckets and a quick game of 4slow in Stroove forest before school one day. That day has ever since been a public holiday and annual pilgrimages take place to celebrate the historic event. The three spent the summer months of 97 doing what they do best-toking on tour… They searched out new toking spots, in Largs and Skelmorlie, in the constant pursuit of weed induced bliss. The three were rarely apart and if they were it was because someone had gone to get more skins. However, as winter drew closer and the weather became more inhospitable for toking outside, the three took drastic action and created ‘the Zone’. Finding a secluded area of the forest near the golf course, they excavated and flattened a large area and reinforced the camoflage surrounding it before finally pitching a mother of a tent complete with patio and a frontdoor bucket-the T.O.T had just raised their game… That winter the three practically moved into the Zone, only going home to keep up appearances and get vital supplies. Some of the deepest conversations ever spoken took place there over the winter of 97/98 and to this day the Zone remains the spiritual home of the T.O.T.
