The Seoul dialect is the basis of the standard dialect of Korean in South Korea. It is spoken in the Seoul National Capital Area, which includes Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi.

Among female speakers, the postpositions -ro "to" and -go "and" and their derivatives tend to be pronounced -ru and -gu.
