"Self-Esteem" is a song by punk rock group The Offspring, the second single of their third album Smash which was released in 1994.

The lyrics are about a relationship in which the girl takes advantage of her boyfriend, as he has "no self-esteem."

The song is not autobiographical as many people believe.

The famous intro on the song, La La La LaLaa La La LaLaLaa, was first going to be played on acoustic guitar before the electric guitars come in. The guitar riff of the song is very similar to that of Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana.
