Scorpio (Sanskrit: Vrishaka, Arabic/Urdu: عقربAqrub) is the eighth astrological sign of the Zodiac, ranging from 210 to 240 degrees of ecliptic.

Over tropical zodiac, the Sun transits Scorpio between October 23 to November 21 every year, while around sidereal zodiac the very transit of Sun occurs approximately between November 16 to December 15.
It is associated with the constellation Scorpius and the classical element Water, making it a Water sign. Scorpio is also one of the Fixed signs (along with Taurus, Leo and Aquarius). Its symbol is the Scorpion. It is co-ruled by the Mars and Pluto.
Being 8th house of natural zodiac, Scorpio is associated with regeneration, occult studies, hidden issues, mysticism, death and sex.
