Sante Jeronimo Caserio (Motta Visconti, Lombardy, Italy, September 8, 1873 - Lyon, France, August 15, 1894) was an Italian anarchist, assassin of Marie François Sadi Carnot, President of the French Third Republic. On June 24, 1894, Caserio fatally stabbed President Carnot at a banquet to avenge Auguste Vaillant and Emile Henry. He was executed by guillotine at 4:55 am, August 15, 1894.

In front of the guillotine, he exclaimed "Corragio camaradi – ev'viva la anarchia!" ("Courage, comrades – and anarchy lives!")
