The San Isabel National Forest is located in central Colorado. The forest contains many fourteeners, peaks over 14,000 feet high.

The Sawatch Range and the Collegiate Peaks are within the boundary of the forest.

San Isabel NF is comanaged by the Forest Service with Pike National Forest, Cimarron National Grasslands, and Comanche National Grasslands.
