Samuel Stanley Wilks (b. 17 June 1906 in Little Elm, Texas, USA, d. 7 March 1964 in Princeton, New Jersey, USA). American mathematician and statistician. He made significant contributions to the field of multivariate statistics. He was also known for his interest in applying statistics to practical problems, as when he introduced the notion of unit-weighted regression.
