Samara Oblast () is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). It is located in the Volga Federal District. The administrative center is Samara. During the Russian Revolution of 1905 it was home to the short-lived Stary Buyan Republic.

Area 53,600 km², population 3,239,737 (as of 2002 All-Russian Population Census).
