Currently a J. League football club Urawa Red Diamonds (Reds) uses this stadium as its home stadium in addition to Urawa Komaba Stadium. In 2005 J. League season Reds' Saitama Derby rival Omiya Ardija hosted matches here along with Urawa Komaba Stadium due to expansion of its home Omiya Park Soccer Stadium.

Transport: Approx. a 15 ~ 20 min. walk from the Urawa-misono Station on the Sai-no-Kuni Stadium Line (Saitama Railway Line : Saitama Railway Co.). (Accessing Saitama Stadium by Train by Saitama Railway Co.)

History


Built by Azusa Sekkei to host three matches for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, construction was completed in September 2001. The stadium holds 63,700 people.
