SSNRIs are anti-depressant medications which act by selectively inhibiting the reuptake of both serotonin and norepinephrine, thus the acronym: Selective Serotonin & Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor.

The two medications currently available in this class are venlafaxine (Effexor) and duloxetine (Cymbalta).
