Royal Rumble (2000)

Royal Rumble 2000 was the thirteenth annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view event from the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on January 23, 2000 in the Madison Square Garden located in New York City, New York.

Tazz def. Kurt Angle
- In his debut, Tazz choked Angle out with a Tazzmission. (3:15)

Tables Match: The Hardy Boyz (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) def. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley)
- Jeff Hardy claimed the win after he hit a Swanton Bomb off the balcony and onto D-Von Dudley through the table. (10:17)

Miss Rumble 2000 swimsuit contest: Mae Young def. Ivory, Terri, Jacqueline, Barbara Bush, Luna and The Kat
- Mae Young won the contest after removing her top despite trying to be covered up by Mark Henry.

Triple Threat match for the undisputed WWF Intercontinental Championship: Chris Jericho (c) def. Chyna (c) and Hardcore Holly
- Jericho pinned Chyna to become the undisputed champion after a Lionsault. (7:28)
  - Jericho and Chyna were co-champions going into the match.

World Tag Team Championship match: The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn) (c) def. The Acolytes (Faarooq & Bradshaw)
- Billy Gunn pinned Bradshaw following a Fameasser. (2:35)
  - X-Pac interfered with the match on behalf of the Outlaws.

Street Fight for the WWF Championship: Triple H (w/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley) (c) def. Cactus Jack
- Triple H pinned Jack after hitting a Pedigree onto thumbtacks. (26:49)

The Rock won the 2000 Royal Rumble
- The final two participants were The Rock and The Big Show. While The Big Show tried to throw The Rock over the top rope, Rock hanged onto the top rope, sending Big Show over the top rope to win the Rumble. (51:47)
  - Big Show however claimed he won the 2000 Royal Rumble, as both of the Rock's feet hit the floor first. He later showed video footage proving his statement right, and was awarded a match with The Rock with the WrestleMania title shot on the line.
  - During the match non-participants Mean Street Posse and Kai En Tai make numerous attempts to get into the match. However, they all get tossed out of the ring.

A new entrant came out approximately every 90 seconds.
