Ross has taught at numberous seminars in locations including Los Angeles, New York and London. Ross's current version of Speed Seduction focuses on techniques of moving energy through the body and "magik". He and his supporters claim great success in changing the attitudes and thought processes of men seeking success with women.

His First Book

Speed Seduction

Jeffries is the first of the seduction community to create a site and publish user-friendly books on all aspects of dating women and self-improvement. His first book "How to get the women you desire into bed by Ross Jeffries'" created a huge buzz and online communities developed to discuss and aid the development of the art of seduction. Although Ross has many products such as: Unstoppable Confidence, Fear into Charisma, Gold warm-up and his vastly popular seduction home study course spanning 13 audio CD's and a 107 page accompanying book it is his seminars that have proved to be incredibly successful worldwide: From the Bahama's to Palo Alto to London, he lectures seminars on "Hyper-Responsive Connections" and all the traits that build to be Speed Seduction such as "frame control" and similar.

The basis of the original Speed Seduction books and courses (1993 onwards) is that a person feels the emotions expressed in a story or a linguistical pattern and that by using anchors and "weasel phrases", these states can be anchored to you. From that point on, you can remind her of these emotional states by your appearance or touch, as featured in How to Get the Women You Desire into Bed (1992). However, Ross Jeffries Palo Alto seminar progresses on this that these patterns are only "20% of Speed Seduction" and also hints that the original material may soon be updated.

A personal student of Richard Bandler's NLP school, Jeffries was the first to combine the NLP persuasion tactics geared towards both life improvement and sales, but primarily to the dating field, in a structured and systematic way. Jeffries' students have included Style, David DeAngelo, Orion, Swinggcat, Stevie PUA, Papa, IN10SE, Rick H and Kamal, almost all of which have became seductionists with major brand products teaching men the arts of seduction.

Jeffries successfully collaborated for a number of years on SS Seminars and products with retired Air Force 'Major' Mark Cunningham http://www.trucor.com, a classically trained hypnotist from Ohio.

He was featured as a pick-up mentor to Neil Strauss in Strauss' bestselling book "The Game"

Examples of Speed Seduction Theory

The "Basic Speed Seduction" course consists of CD/DVD recordings of a three-day live seminar, a workbook, and a deck of NLP "weasel phrases" used to structure sentences as commands. An example of a weasel phrase would be, "I told my dog to go inside the house." The words "go inside" may be interpreted by the unconscious mind as a command. Another Jeffries device is phonetic ambiguity. Sentence example: "Standing on the hill, I could see the river twinkling below me." According to Jeffries, the words "below me" could be unconsciously interpreted as an embedded command to "blow me."

Controversy

Jeffries argues that his methods are completely different than the "dating framework" that is advocated by other "romance gurus". He considers the dating framework to be heavily promoted by the entertainment industry for commercial reasons and to be totally ineffective for bringing men and women closely together, either for sex or romance. Jeffries says he is not a misogynist; his techniques are designed to bring pleasure to both men and women through a deeper understanding of the needs of each person. *

Since 1998 Jeffries has taught paranormal techniques, such as rituals, psychic powers and yoga. Jeffries has develop three kinds of releases. Jeffries teaches students releases from romantic crushes, mental imprisonment, and from fear. For example, in the "magic and psychic influence study course", Jeffries uses angels and the spirit of "sargy" a reference to his previous cat, to deal with "Satan" and romantic crushes. This is by having students write down the name of the person they have a crush on, and using a magik (it is spelled magic with a k) enhanced knife to sacrifice the crush on an altar, with the help of an angel. Thus Jeffries creates a method from releasing people from some of their obsessive romantic crushes. One seminar, Jeffries held instructed attendees to create a "magical self", see * the magic/psychic influence home study course. Jeffries teaches students releases from romantic crushes, mental imprisonment and fear.

Film portrayals

Jeffries is rumored to be the model for Tom Cruise's character in the 1999 movie Magnolia, Frank "T.J." Mackey, a predatory "seduction guru." Cruise himself denies this, though Paul Thomas Anderson, who wrote and directed the film, stated in the magazine "Creative Screenwriting" that Jeffries was the main inspiration for the Mackey character. At the 2003 London Speed Seduction Seminar, Jeffries demonstrated his skill by re-enacted Cruise's opening scene in Magnolia (complete with Richard Strauss' music as featured in the film).

More recently the role of dating consultant (or coach) has been by portrayed favorably by Will Smith as Alex Hitchens, a 'by referral-only' dating consultant in the movie 'Hitch' (2005).
