Room for Squares is the first major-label album by John Mayer, released on September 18, 2001. The album was relatively unknown at time of release, and through John's touring, word of mouth began to spread. The popularity of Room for Squares peaked in 2002, when it spun off the hit singles "No Such Thing" and "Your Body Is a Wonderland." Its omittance of track thirteen is an example of triskaidekaphobia. The title is an inside joke/reference to Hank Mobley's No Room for Squares album.
